Taste of France: gastronomy is celebrated!
This year’s theme: responsible cooking.
March 21 to 24, 2019, 4 days of festive events celebrate gastronomy and highlight all its players from farm to fork!
In 2010, UNESCO inscribed the French gastronomic meal on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It was in this context that the Fête de la Gastronomie was created in 2011.
This festival, a major popular event, allows professionals to share their talents with the public and raise awareness about the choice of products, quality, and diversity of French terroirs. Each year, several thousand events are organized throughout France. At the end of 2017, the President of the Republic wished to showcase French gastronomy throughout our territories and beyond our borders. To this end, two events have come together: The Fête de la Gastronomie and Good France, to become Good/Goût de France.
Le March 21, 2019, thanks to an international deployment, French gastronomy will resonate across the world and on the same day throughout France, a popular, gourmet and intergenerational celebration will continue until March 24 through culinary discoveries, education of the palate and taste buds.
