At the initiative of Ghana, the world's second largest cocoa producer, "Cocoa Day" symbolizes and celebrates every October 2st, the coming together of cocoa farmers - without whom chocolate could not exist - and consumers of this food of the gods.
Since 2010, the French Academy of Chocolate and Confectionery has been proposing to the "cocoa-chocolate" sector to develop actions so that the festival becomes a tradition and has set itself the mission of strengthening the links between the North and the South of our planet, between those who plant, cultivate, harvest cocoa and those who process and sell chocolate; but also to raise awareness of the problems on our planet linked to these crops and to globalization.
