1st International Trophy of French Pastry
It was within the framework of the 25th Salon du Chocolat that the first edition of the International French Pastry Trophy.
Those are 6 candidates, accompanied by their coach, who put all their know-how and creativity into the challenge.

– Dorian ZONCA representing France
– Khatuna BAKURADZE representing Georgia and the only woman in the competition
– Ilias NIKOLA representing Greece
– Kohei ISHIDA representing Japan
Maxime TARDIEU representing Switzerland
Over the course of 3 days, the compulsory tests followed one after the other. On Friday, November 1st: the candidates had to present rum babas classics and their own personal version of this iconic pastry. In the afternoon, they had to prepare chocolate travel cakes. On Saturday, two new events: chocolate cupcakes in the morning and Paris-Brest afternoon. For the final test, the candidates discovered a surprise basket on Sunday morning from which they had to create a croquembouche.
The Gold Trophy was won by Dorian ZONCA – France.
The Silver Trophy goes to Kohei ISHIDA – Japan.
The Bronze Trophy was awarded to Maxime TARDIEU – Switzerland.
