New President at AEMIC
At the Board of Directors meeting held on January 18, 2021, Olivier DUVERNOY was elected President of the Association for a 3-year term.
This former student of ENSMIC succeeds Xavier Bourdon and has defined the line of his presidency as follows.

The Bakery Step by Step
Fabrice Cottez, a baker and trainer in Bordeaux, created videos on YouTube – originally at the request of his students.
During the first lockdown, the channel “Bakery step by step” took off to also reach households that wanted to return to “homemade”. To date, this great initiative has 70000 subscribers and no fewer than 5 million views.
Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie
Pierre Hermé (President), Claire Heitzler and Frédéric Cassel (Vice-Presidents) unveiled the 20 countries will be in competition on May 30 and 31, 2021, for the Grand Final at Europexo.
Due to the Coronavirus, the selections could not take place as initially planned and only the European selection took place during Europain 2020.
For the final, the selection of the teams was therefore made on the basis of the 2018 podiums.
The following countries will be competing:
France, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Malaysia, Singapore, China and Kuwait.
Wild cards were awarded to the following countries: Brazil, South Korea, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
