Leopards Trophy

La first edition of this new national culinary competition – Created by Marie Sauce-Bourreau, President of Toques Françaises, open to professionals and amateurs over 18 years old – was held on May 25 and 26, 2021 at the heart of the FIM CCI training center in Granville (50).

14 finalists met for 3 hours of tests around the competition theme: Norman products and apples.

Whelks from Granville, Roussette and Teurgoule were featured in the competitors' creations.

The jury chaired by Bernard LEPRINCE – MOF – dedicated Sébastien GUERIN – cook for the Maritime Prefect of the Channel and the North Sea – 1st professional prize.

Among amateurs, it is Yannick DUBOIS, originally from Evreux, who received the 1st Amateur Prize.

Best Butter Croissant in Isigny

On May 18 and 19, 2021, the Lycée François Rabelais in If (14) hosted the national finals for the title of Best Butter Croissant in Isigny.

Johan Martin, a pastry consultant, fulfilled his role as sponsor of this 16th edition of the Competition with great kindness. This competition, created by the Isigny Butter Cooperative and by the teachers of theAAINB, mobilized 54 training centers around 96 participants in regional selections.

The jury, composed of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and leading professionals, praised the mastery and creativity of the candidates, despite their young age. They were 14 finalists to win the prestigious title of best croissant, and that of the best trompe l'oeil Viennese pastry.

It is Julian Borie, from the CFA CFMDA of Livron in Drôme (26) who won the prestigious trophy.
