Best Young International Baker

The competition for Best International Young Baker took place at Sirha .

A high-level team competition in which Germany, Spain, France and Israel competed.

Team Germany : Lisa Sophie SCHULTZ and Sarah Benita ROHR , climb onto the first step of the Podium, followed by Team France which takes Silver – Manon PENNENECH and Luigi TRIGATI – Spain , meanwhile, takes Bronze : with Yamila SIDATI and Daniel FLECHA.

In the individual competition , gold went to Lisa Sophie Schultz (Germany), silver to Moritz Metaler (Germany) and bronze to Yamila Sidati (Spain).

Congratulations to all these young candidates who prove to us that the future of these wonderful professions is in good hands.

Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie

After 2 days of competition and 10 hours of work for this Pastry World Cup , which had the following guiding principles: Eco-responsibility and Commitment.

For all the events, whether it was for working with sugar, chocolate, ice cream, desserts to share or plated, all the ingredients had to be sourced and the use of additives or colorings was prohibited.

For this edition, it is theItalie who becomes World Champion,

 

 

followed on the 2nd step of the podium by theJapan Team

The French team ends at the third place.

The Swiss team received the Eco-Responsibility Award and the Team Spirit Award went to the Chilean team.

French Bakery Cup

For 3 days, as part of SIRHA Lyon, 12 teams of 3 candidates gave their best to win the title of French Bakery Champion.

They had 10 hours to present a buffet, with bread, pastries and an artistic piece.

The jury for this 15th edition was composed of:

Sébastien Chevalier – MOF Bakery

Alexandre Lopez – World Bakery Champion

Olivier Boudot – European Bakery Champion

Gaëtan Mespoulet – French and European Bakery Champion

Christian Gillet – French Bakery Champion

The Team of Pays de la Loire made of Adrien Bazoge, Franck Fortier and Mathieu Paulmery  wins the title of Champion of France.

The team Nouvelle Aquitaine made of Gaël Grondin, Julian Leroux and Etienne Péridy get on the 2nd place on the podium, after having been the Public Favorite “tied” on the 3rd day of the Competition

The regional team Grand East climbs, as for her, on the third step of the podium, after having been the Favorite “tied” by the public on the 3rd day of the Competition

With each edition, the jury agrees that the level is getting higher and higher.

The Auvergne Rhône Alpes team, composed of Julien Auberger, Grégoire Bardet and Xavier Sacriste, was chosen as the public's favorite on the first day of the competition, and the France Comté team, composed of Damien Besson, Nicolas Philippe and Nicolas Vaillant, was chosen as the public's favorite on the second day of the competition.

Members EKIP are very proud to be partners of this competition by providing competitors with the most efficient and innovative equipment to allow everyone to express their know-how in the best conditions. Congratulations to all the teams for their commitment and the beautiful products presented in the final.

Best Traditional Baguette in the City of Paris

The competition for the Best Traditional Baguette in Paris took place on September 24th , and the grand winner becomes the official supplier to the Elysée Palace for the coming year.

No less than 122 baguettes were tasted and rated by the jury, placed under the Presidency of Mrs. Olivia Polski – Deputy for Commerce and Crafts.

Guillaume Gomez, Ambassador of French Gastronomy, was also present on this jury.

The grand winner is Mr. Makram Akrout from Boulangers de Reuilly – Paris 12th.

The second prize goes to Boulangerie de la Place – Paris 13th

The third prize goes to Maison Lardeux – Paris 18th.
