International French Pastry Trophy

From October 28 to November 1, 2021, at the Salon du Chocolat - Paris, the 2nd International Trophy of French Pastry will showcase the pastry creations of professionals or knowledgeable amateurs around the theme of the traditional Yule log.

On October 28 and 29, amateurs over 21 will compete to present their creations.

On October 30th and November 1st, the professionals will be on stage.

21st European Bakery Cup

As part of the SERBOTEL trade fair – Nantes, 5 teams were in the running to win the Pellon d'or : Belgium, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands.

For this 21st edition the jury was chaired by Mr. Jean-Yves Gautier and the chosen theme was A monument of your country.

After an intense competition, Italy took first place on the podium and became European Champion , followed by the Netherlands team, who won the Silver Pellon medal . The French team, composed of Gauthier Denis (artistic piece), Fabien Menudier (pastries), and Fabrice Richard (bread), took home the bronze.

General Assembly EKIP

Wednesday, October 13, 2021, the General Assembly of our association was held.

Our members were all delighted to once again share a convivial moment, discussing the life of our sector and our companies. It was an opportunity to review the actions undertaken, the working groups, and to mobilize everyone to make EUROPAIN the next major event for the entire profession.

Dominique Denoël has been re-elected as President ofEKIP and he can count on the Board of Directors, which is committed to his side. As is tradition, in the evening, the entire industry gathered for a convivial dinner.

French Dessert Championship

On October 6th, the Lycée George Baptiste in Canteleu (76) hosted the final of the 47th edition of the French Dessert Championship , under the Presidency of Philippe MILLE , chef of the restaurant "Les Crayères" in Reims (51)

In the "Juniors" category ,

Simon Lefebvre is the new French Champion with his dessert "Origine" . Simon is a student at the Vauban vocational high school in Auxerre (89).

Yannis AUBE-VADOT from Cfa Médéric – Paris was awarded Silver Dessert and Camille PONS from Purple Campus in Marguerittes (30) was awarded Bronze Dessert

In the "Professionals" category ,

Pierre-Jean QUINONEROE , pastry chef of the Restaurant le Burgundy – Paris, is crowned French Champion with his dessert “ Fraicheur Pomme du Montois”

Samuel BOATENG , chef of Cabro d'Or in Les Baux-de-Provence (13), won the Silver Dessert award , and Héloise CHATEAU , chef of the restaurant "Racines" in Bordeaux (33), won the Bronze Dessert award.
