Japan wins the 2023 Pastry World Cup
The candidates had ten hours to prepare 42 tasting desserts – including "ice lollies" – and three artistic pieces, one of which was sculpted from water ice around the theme of climate change at the Sirha in Lyon.
Japan has won the 2023 Pastry World Cup. The jury was impressed by their sharing dessert, themed around wind and lightness.
Let us salute the performance of France, which came second ahead of Italy.
The special eco-responsibility prize was awarded to Canada.
This is Japan's third victory since the competition was founded in 1989.
