French Burger Cup 2021 by Socopa
After regional selections which saw 25 candidates compete on the theme of "return to regional sources", Monday June 28, the final took place with 5 candidates in contention for the title.
In the history of the competition this is a first: 2 equal champions:
- Joannes RICHARD from Nimes (31) with “Le Nemausus”: a burger that pays homage to Nimes and the Camargue with its herbs from the Garrigue, its Camargue fleur de sel and even samphire
- Stéphane GIROUD from Montbrisson (42) with “Cafi ligerien”; a burger which combines baked potatoes, Charlieu andouille and Montbrisson fourme.
The 3rd step of the podium goes to Maxime LE BORGNE d’If (14) with “Le Trou normand”: a burger where Camembert and Calvados have come together to pay homage to Normandy.
Note that the Nemausus also received the “Public Favorite Award” award.
