MAF Chocolate and Confectionery 2026 – The Finalists –

Organized by the French Chocolatiers and Confectioners Association, in partnership with the National Society of Best Craftsmen of France (SNMOF) and the National Society of Best Apprentices of France (SNMAF), this year's competition brought together young apprentices from across France around the theme "The Depths of the Seas." Following the regional selections, the national final consisted of the five finalists, joined by the three best challengers nationwide.

 

Congratulations to the eight young talents who have secured their place in the national final of the One of the Best Apprentices of France Chocolate and Confectionery competition, which will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the École de Paris des Métiers de la Table (EPMT), Paris.

10th French Schools Cup, the results

The 10th edition of the French Schools Cup in Bakery, Viennoiserie, and Pastry took place on January 18th and 19th, 2026, during the Sirha Bake and Snack Europain trade show. Five mixed teams, each composed of three candidates, competed for six hours in the "Espoirs" (Hopefuls) category on Sunday, January 18th. Five teams competed the following day in the "Excellence" category, with the theme "The Bicentenary of Photography," under the patronage of Grégoire Bardet, coach of the French team that won the 2024 World Baking Cup, and head instructor at Le Cordon Bleu Paris.
